Here is the jeans after about 7 months. The fades has started to show a lot more.
Gonna wash them soon, since the summer is only about 6 months away and I need some lighter summer jeans.January 28, 2016 at 9:44 am #6521
After 8 Months, I felt it was time for the first wash.
I washed them at 50 degrees with a little washing powder without bleach.
This is the result:
I really feel like, they look better every week. And I`ve always felt like the real wearing and tearing starts after the first wash or soak.March 8, 2016 at 4:26 pm #6683
Here is a small update.
The jeans have now been washed two times. Spilled some coffee on them so I had to wash them again. They have also been a trip to Svalbard that i unfortunately dont have photos of right now, but I will try to post later.
They have started to rip a little in the crotch and I`m probably going to take them to the Nudie jeans Repair shop here in Oslo soon.August 9, 2016 at 2:17 pm #6978
It`s time for a update.
The jeans has now been worn for 14 months and washed 3 times.
They have been in new york, Island hopping in greece and many times at my cabin in Norway. Sorry for the bad photos:
I love how the jeans has started to fade into a light bluish, kind of vintage colour. Still no big repairs. So The 18oz Kaihara is holding up better than any jeans I´ve worn earlierNovember 5, 2016 at 7:37 pm #7058
Sorry for the late update, but I´ve been travelling in South America for 6 week (with my jeans), started a new job and painted my apartment (without wearing the jeans).
Of course wearing one pair of jeans in 6 weeks is easy peasy for a group of rebels like us. It is not the perfect piece of clothing for trekking in Peru, Cycling in Bolivia and relaxing in Brazil. Of course I wore my jeans a lot on my trip, but maybe not for the roughest parts. I still think they got some south american soul into them. And now they are really starting to look amazing in my opinion. What do you think?December 6, 2016 at 9:57 am #7099
Were you cycle touring or just out for a ride .
im cycling Europe in December .December 12, 2016 at 9:54 pm #7105
I cycled Yungas Road (The death road) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yungas_Road.
Did not wear my jeans, while doing that. Sound awesome. I`m thinking about doing a cycling trip here in Norway next summer. from Oslo to trondheim.
Which countries are you going to visit?

We have six months so we have to spread it around due to the visa restrictions so we will fly into London maybe Ireland then Montenegro and Hungary then to Copenhagen and ride down to Spain ending Barcelona that’s the plan but the plans can change .January 4, 2017 at 6:31 pm #7161
Sounds like a nice trip. How was the weather? Hope you didn`t have to cycle to much in the snow.January 13, 2017 at 5:31 pm #7165
Happy New Year everyone.
Here is a small update on how the jeans are doing.
I`ve been wearing them more or less everyday since I got back for South America. And in total they have been worn about 18 months and washed about 5 times. They have had 2 minor repairs, So they have held up a lot better than I actually expected for 18 months of wear & tear.
Check them out:
