So I love these forums!!!!
…but already hate it when I want to quick check on a progress and discover I have to start opening attachments to look at the pictures.
As I noticed some clever guys here using picture hosting sites to place their pictures neatly within their post I figured why not make a tutorial so everyone can see learn to get pictures inside your text.
look way better than…

I’ll take you through the steps of setting it up on a PC/Browser first and will do another one for mobile after that. (I choose Photobucket since it’s free, super easy to use and setup and you get 2MB free and 8 more when you use the app as well)
This stuff will take you 5 minutes and makes your progress so much more fun to follow!
STEP 1: Go to http://www.photobucket.com and hit the SIGNUP button
STEP 2: Signing up… you’ve done this before 😉
STEP 3: NO! you don’t have to pay – click for free or skip this step, unless you really like to pay..
STEP 4: Allright you see how easy this is? Just drag and drop from a folder or browse and select
STEP 5: Wait a bit, loading is a good thing – when ready click the picture you want…
STEP 6: Click on the DIRECT link – If you’re good you see it blinking yellow
STEP 7: All done on photobucket, now you can go to the DWC forum and the post you want to comment and select the INSERT/EDIT IMAGE button
STEP 8: In the SOURCE field paste the link you copied from Photobucket, you can either use the CRTL+V keycombo on your keyboard or give a right click in the source field and select PASTE.
STEP 9: You can add and image description and caption to your liking – or leave them blank. IMPORTANT is that you leave the checkbox for constrain proportions checked. ALSO using 680 as width is a good size for this forum!
STEP 10: You are all done! If you like you can resize the image with the white boxes on the sides and bottom of the picture. Or when you click on a picture a small menu appears when you can Delete/Align or Edit your pictureMay 4, 2015 at 5:58 pm #3374

UNLOCKING 8GB extra photobucket memory / using the photobucket APP
So, in a two year period another 8gb of extra space might come in handy when you want to share regular updates. Luckily Photobucket offers this for free if you start using their app. (Edit: you don’t have to actually use it, you just have to download, install and set it up, after that you can just leave it be, if you are a pc only type)
This will be a Android specific tutorial but I figure it will work quite the same on Iphone, maybe a Iphone owner can add the specific Iphone steps if they differ much.
Here is how you do it… (on Android)
STEP 1: Go to the Google Play Store app where you get all you apps and search for Photobucket – Select and Install
STEP 2: Sign in using the account you created earlier – Skip all the BS
STEP 3: You’re now in your account, if you press the little three stripes in the top right corner to open the menu, you’ll see that your account is now upgraded with the 8GB’s
STEP 4: If you want to post pictures to the DWC forum from your Phone select the picture you want and click on the share icon. Select Copy Link to Clipboard.
STEP 5: Select direct link and now you can proceed with the same steps on the DWC forum as explained in the PC-tutorial
P.S. I am not affliated with any of the services mentioned. I certainly wish I was, they should pay me for this!May 4, 2015 at 8:49 pm #3385
As I’m reading this on a mobile I’m not able to look into this further with my set up .
I use a mac at home and have an image shack account , if someone can shed some light on how it is done with ease please let me know .

as per request by SPLASH PITMAN (Now that’s a badass name 🙂
Really if it’s Photobucket, or Imageshack, Picasa, Flickr, Google Drive, or any other way you can put a picture online it’s about finding the url / web adress that points directly and only to your image. An URL like this always ends with the filetype, so .PNG or .JPEG would be most common. Usually you can find this link when right-clicking an image and selecting either GET IMAGE URL or OPEN IMAGE IN NEW TAB.
it should look like this when you enter the image url in your browser:
On Imageshack you can easily get this url in two ways: 1 when you upload a new picture, or 2 when the picture is already uploaded.
1. Get the URL when uploading a new picture (on Imageshack)
When uploading a new picture Imageshack immediatly shows the right URL highlighted in yellow, you can either hit CRTL+C on your keyboard or do a right click on the highlighted part and select Copy
2. Getting the URL from a picture you already uploaded.
In your Albums select the picture you like and hit the GET LINKS / IMAGE SIZES button. The URL is again highlighted in yellow <span style=”line-height: 1.5;”>you can either hit CRTL+C on your keyboard or do a right click on the highlighted part and select Copy</span>
When you have the right link continue with Step 7 as described in the second post.May 5, 2015 at 8:49 am #3434
